Add and subtract three-digit numbers using base ten blocks to trade and regroup, then move to the paper algorithm, checking every answer with a quick mental estimate.

Build multiplication as equal groups and arrays and division as sharing or grouping, then build fast recall of the 2, 5, and 10 times tables and their matching division facts.

Name and shade equal parts of a whole, find simple equivalent fractions with fraction strips, and solve fair-share problems with up to 20 items among several friends.
Money and the Clock: Counting Change and Telling Time to the Minute
Count mixed coins and bills to make a target amount, make correct change for a purchase, and read an analog and digital clock to the minute, including simple elapsed-time problems.
Measuring Our World: Length, Perimeter, and Area
Measure length in millimetres, centimetres, metres, and kilometres with real tools, find perimeter by adding sides, and find area by counting square units.
Exploring 3D Shapes: Faces, Edges, Vertices, and Following Directions
Sort and build cubes, prisms, pyramids, cylinders, and cones by counting faces, edges, and vertices, and follow multistep directions including quarter and half turns.
Graphs, Averages, and Chance: Data and Probability
Read and build pictographs and bar graphs with scales bigger than one, find the mean and mode of a small data set, and use likelihood words from impossible to certain.
