Template notice: this is a plain-language starting point. Have it reviewed by a lawyer against Ontario consumer-protection requirements before you rely on it.
Who we are
Winny Math provides online math tutoring for students from elementary through first-year university, serving Ontario families. You can reach us at [email protected]. By using this website or booking tutoring with us, you agree to these terms.
The service
- We provide one-on-one and small-group math tutoring, delivered online.
- Session times, tutor matching, and plans are confirmed by email after you contact us.
- We may update, add, or discontinue parts of the service (for example free resources on the site) at any time.
Accounts and students under 18
For any student under 18, a parent or guardian must arrange the tutoring, hold the relationship with us, and consent to sessions. Parents and guardians are responsible for the accuracy of the information they give us about the student.
Scheduling and cancellations
- Sessions are scheduled by agreement over email or with your tutor.
- If you need to reschedule or cancel, please give us as much notice as you can. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged.
- If a tutor has to cancel, we will offer a replacement time or not charge for the session.
Payments
Tutoring is billed as set out in your plan or invoice, payable by Interac e-Transfer. We never ask for card or banking details inside a chat or form. Invoices are due when issued unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Acceptable use
- Tutoring is academic support. We help students learn and practise; we do not complete graded assessments, tests, or assignments on a student's behalf.
- You agree not to record, resell, or redistribute sessions or session materials without our permission.
- You agree not to misuse the website (for example by scraping it, attempting to breach security, or submitting spam through our forms).
Our content
The Winny Math name, logo, website content, practice materials, and videos (including content we publish on social platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok) belong to Winny Math. You may use them for personal, non-commercial study. You may not republish or resell them without our written permission.
Third-party platforms
Our content appears on third-party platforms (for example YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not ours.
No guarantees of results
We work hard to improve every student's understanding and confidence, but grades and exam results depend on many factors. We do not guarantee any specific grade, score, or admission outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Winny Math's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the tutoring giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario consumer-protection law that cannot be limited by contract.
Privacy
How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario.
