Sample: the first question, solved

If a ruler shows an object starting at 0 cm and ending at 5 cm, how long is the object?

📘 Worked solution
5 cm.

And one from the hard end

A ruler is placed so it starts at the 6 cm mark, and an object's far end lines up with the 21 cm mark. A second ruler, correctly starting at 0 cm, is then used and gives a reading of 15 cm for the same object. Do the two rulers agree on the object's true length, and what is that length?
